New CMC Fee Structure

Our board of directors recently approved a change to our bylaws that defined the area that CMC serves as Sonoma County and adjacent regions. To accommodate members from these new areas while acknowledging the many years of financial support that CMC has received from the City of Santa Rosa we are establishing a tiered fee structure for membership, effective February 1, 2010.

Beginning March 1, 2010 CMC members who are Santa Rosa residents will find that our membership renewal fees will increase.

Click here for the new detailed fee structure.

We encourage CMC members to renew early during the month of February to take advantage of the current lower rates. Current members may extend their membership by a maximum of 1 year.

Winner of the Best Regional Media Center Name Contest

David Rosas accepting his prize from Dan Villalva. At its January meeting the CMC board of directors decided to award the prize for this contest to CMC member, David Rosas for his entry:  LA FRONTERA.   He wins the Aiptek Hi-Speed HD minicamera.   Although the board declined to use this entry in the official name selected for our newly designated regional center, they wished to reward the creativity and possibly use this entry in a future project.  Thank you to all the participants for the creative name submissions for CMC’s contest.

CMC now a Regional Center

At this same January meeting the board approved an amendment to the organization's bylaws that opens our reach to communities beyond Santa Rosa.   Many months in the works, this change will soon allow residents from other communities to join as members.  And the board also approved a change to our name to reflect our new regional status.  We will now be known as the Community Media Center of the North Bay!
