“The Community Media Center of the North Bay (CMCNB) wants you!” declared board member Ida M. Johnson as she announced opening of the nominating period for the upcoming election to the Board of directors.
CMCNB board is currently seeking applications from community members interested in serving on their board of directors and becoming a part of this award winning organization to help it move into the future. We are looking for innovative, creative, enthusiastic individuals to join us in the venture. CMCNB Board responsibilities include the creation and refinement of policies and procedures, development and implementation of long and short range strategic plans and oversight of corporate affairs. Those interested in applying for an unpaid position on CMCNB’s board of directors can complete the nomination form online at www.communitymedia.org or pick up a nomination form at CMCNB (1075 Mendocino Avenue, Santa Rosa, CA 95401) during business hours. Completed nomination forms are due by Friday April 25th. Ballots for the election will be distributed May 1st, 2013 to CMCNB members. Board Election Voting ends May 17th, 2013. New board member will be announced at CMCNB’s Annual Meeting held on Thursday May 30th, 2013.

Bylaws of The Community Media Center of the North Bay: Section 8.03--Nomination for Elected seat by Petition
Any individual member in good standing may be nominated by the membership using the following procedure: (a) The Board shall send notice to all members of CMCNB notifying them of the procedures, time frame, and deadline for filing a petition for nomination to the Board of Directors. Such notice shall indicate the numbers of Directors to be elected in each year. (c) Irrespective of the number of members of CMCNB, petitions for nomination must contain a total of at least five (5) signatures of individual members or representatives of organizational members. Only one signature per organization is permitted.
