We currently have a residency requirement. To be eligible for membership you must reside within Sonoma County. Non-profit Organizations or other institutions must have an office located within the county limits.

If you prefer, you can make an appointment to view the video orientation at the Media Center where staff can answer any questions you may have. (An “open book” quiz is still required.) Call 707 569-8785 ext. 325 during business hours to schedule a video orientation appointment.
Once this required orientation is completed, you can come in during business hours to fill out a membership form and pay your low yearly membership fee. A staff member will then be assigned to you as your mentor to get you on your way. Your mentor can enroll you in certification classes, answer your production questions, and be there to help make your project a success.
